The 2012 Micro World Championship were officially opened yesterday evening with a warm and noisy ceremony by Mr Heinz Koeppel, the mayor of Gmunden.
Almost 150 competitors from 11 nations and many supporters, family members and friends gathered at the Town Square in Gmunden, where a traditional brass band and the historic Infantrieregiment No.42 welcomed them with music and saluts.
